SEA Launched Eyes & Ears in the PJM Footprint

After ramping up since late 2023, on August 1, 2024, we formally expanded our historic New England and New York coverage into PJM.

SEA has been closely following impactful developments such as PJM’s latest capacity auction, keeping our subscribers informed of the latest filings, complaints, reports and analysis from governors, legislators, regulators and industry stakeholders.  Whether you’re tracking topics such as PJM interconnection queue reforms, indexed REC procurements in Illinois, community solar in Maryland, offshore wind developments in New Jersey, or net metering in Virginia, we do the homework, so you don’t have to.

SEA’s PJM Eyes & Ears team is led by Chris Rice, who joined SEA in early 2024 after 20 years of experience collaborating with policy makers, regulators, legislators and stakeholders in the PJM clean energy marketplace. Under his leadership at the Maryland Energy Administration, where Chris was Chief of Staff and Director of Clean Energy Programs, the State became a leader in the clean energy transition. His experience establishing incentive programs (grants, rebates, loans and tax credits), designing and developing clean energy policies such as the RPS, community solar, and electric vehicle requirements, and interacting with his state and wholesale market peers throughout the PJM footprint, augments the SEA team as we expand the Eyes & Ears footprint.

At SEA, Chris’ efforts are bolstered by an all-star team of expert clean energy analysts, bringing together deep expertise and market experience. Their insights ensure that subscribers receive clear, reliable data and analysis, tailored to their needs.
